![]() ![]() My first thought after getting silver was that the gold was gained by simply not relying on him, potentially at all, but hopefully just not every time. Without any input on what additional thing is required, as is customary in gold token levels (like the high priestess additionally tracks blessings, the chariot additionally tracks villagers saved, etc.), you just have to guess. ![]() ![]() I'm pretty sure other tokens do that, but for some reason this one doesn't. Originally posted by ♥♥♥♥♥♥:The gold token should be discarded as soon as its conditions have been failed, AKA you drink the potion. Just my 2 cents, but we can agree on disagreeing, doesn't really bother me in that particular case ) The issue there is that if a player doesn't understand it's related to the potion (it after all could just be an encounter you unlock by winning the token like so many other encounters), he won't understand he HAS to find a way to the prison without going through Appollyon, so he may try other solutions, and even then, I thought of another solution on my first try (trying to stack on blessings to get one that make me win against Appollyon as I didn't know all blessings yet then). Most of them had me go at them 2 or 3 times before getting both ! (the one I hated most was probably in the mountains building the fort :S even though it wasn't that hard and only took me 2 tries to get the gold token ahah)īut yeah I feel like it breaks the player's expectation way too much and way too far into the game.īut again, this is from my standpoint and I had no trouble figuring out the condition, but still feel this way. I mean if the goal was to not give clue, give none in all challenges, but never EVER break your own rules when game designing, that's bad game design )Īs for easy I kind of disagree too, for experienced players, especially players of HoF1, it's particularly easy to miss what cards to use to make the gold tokens easier ^^ Despite I knew from the get go that I needed to win without using the potion, I still felt like some players would not catch it from the lack of "You just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ your gold token" writing. Kinda disagree on the fact the game gives good hints. The game gives you good hints on what you need to do on that challenge, it's just giving you the easiest solution to the problem as well, which happens to not be the best solution. A lot of the other gold tokens are awarded too easily and don't really require any special effort.Īnd I think that the gold token should be something that's a bit harder to get than simply winning the mission. It's the only challenge where really knowing what your cards are capable of will award you with the gold token.
